Sybrand van Zyl ("I," "me," or "my") operates the Contra Calor mobile application and website (collectively, "the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights with respect to that information.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
The App does not require account creation. You are not required to provide your name, email address, or any personally identifying information to use the App.
If you contact us by email for support, we receive your email address and the content of your message. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
The App does not access your device's GPS or request location permissions. All vineyard coordinates are entered manually by the user, either by typing coordinates directly, using the in-app map picker to drop a pin, or searching for a location by name.
Vineyard profiles, saved vintages, GDD calculations, and settings are stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device and is not backed up to our servers. We do not operate a cloud sync service.
The App does not collect usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral data. No third-party analytics SDKs are included in the App.
If you subscribe to Contra Calor Pro, payment is processed through Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may receive a pseudonymous user identifier and subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Please review Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for information on how they handle payment data.
The App queries the Visual Crossing Weather API using the geographic coordinates you provide. These coordinates are sent to Visual Crossing's servers to retrieve historical temperature data for GDD calculation. We do not control Visual Crossing's data handling practices. The App uses Mapbox for map display and location selection. When you use the map feature, your device communicates with Mapbox servers to load map tiles. Please review Mapbox's privacy policy at mapbox.com.
Any information collected is used solely for the following purposes:
Your vineyard profiles, saved vintages, and settings are stored locally on your device using device storage. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly share it. We do not operate a cloud sync service and your data is not backed up to our servers.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Because we collect minimal data and store the majority of it locally on your device, most data control rests with you. You can delete your data at any time by uninstalling the App.
